At our annual Winter Party in 2012, we had an exhibit of dance photography by Joe Lambie and a performance by Invertigo dancers. We also had a performance by some of our Dancing Through Parkinson's dancers. They are endlessly inspiring people who show up to class ready to dance!
This performance includes the demonstration of a seated port-de-bra combination and some jazzy choreography to Nat King Cole's L-O-V-E.
Invertigo Dance Theatre runs weekly classes as part of our Dancing Through Parkinson's program. The classes encourage joy, community, stability, balance, increased flexibility and keeping the mind alert. Launched in March 2011, this program provides dance classes designed for people living with Parkinson's disease as well as their friends, family and care-partners.
